A Donation and More at Greenwood's City Council Meeting

-The Greenwood City Council received a donation at their meeting last week.Greenwood School District Superintendent Todd Felhofer made a donation of $500 for replacing the roof on the cook stand at the George Scherer Athletic Park, on behalf of the Greenwood Lions Club. During the public appearance portion of the meeting, a resident had questions about the city’s 2005 truck that was for sale. The council then approved the sale of that truck to the highest bidder as well as the 1979 trailer. The council also approved the 5-year contract with ECS, Emergency Communication Systems and they approved changing the hours of operation for city hall from 8am-4:30pm beginning February 4th.
Finally, the council approved a two percent wage increase for the Police Union for 2019 and 2020, with union dues to be paid by payroll deduction, and they approved the creation of a Special Projects Committee. Finally, they recognized the retiring clerk, Lonna Klinke, on her 35 years of service to the City of Greenwood.
