Marshfield Man Enters Plea for Sexual Assault of a Child in Clark County Court

-A Marshfield man charged in Clark County for sexual assault of a child entered a plea in court on Thursday.According to court records, 48-year-old Mark Bartz said he communicated with a man online asking him to make child pornographic images. Bartz agreed and took pictures of a one-year-old child and a two-year-old child. He also told authorities he assaulted the one-year-old. Bartz pleaded guilty to a charge of repeated sexual assault of the same child. A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and he’ll be sentenced in April.
Back in October, Bartz was found guilty in federal court for producing child pornography. He was sentenced to 50 years in prison and 25 years of supervised release.
