Clark County Tourism Meeting Begins with Google Presentation

-The Clark County Tourism Committee heard a presentation to begin their first meeting of 2019.The presentation was regarding Google Street View and advertising opportunities which is being used to great effect in the Thorp and Stanley area. They also heard an update on the Clark County Fairgrounds Revitalization Project. So far, just over $100,000 has been donated toward the project. The final goal is $1.65 million. They also heard some updates from Forestry and Parks including the ATV trails being closed and questions regarding the county’s new ATV ordinance. They are also working on a new campground reservation system and Bruce Mound is open with great conditions on all runs. There was also a question regarding an ordinance that will be brought up tonight at the Clark County Board of Supervisors meeting regarding the Health Department becoming an agent to DATCP.
The group also heard a quick update on some marketing, the new visitor guide being worked on for 2020, Bloomin’ Greenhouses, the Spring into the Arts Tour and Clark County hosting Farm Tech Days in 2022.
