Administrators' Reports at Granton School Board Meeting

-The Granton School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Principal Amanda Kraus reported on Safety Updates. She stated that just a few classrooms remain for Crisis Bag distribution. All paperwork is up to date and the new Threat Assessment paperwork has been added to the binder pending board approval. She also provided the board with some curricula updates. The district’s Juniors will start a 4-week rotation of ACT Prep next week. They have been set in groups of ability with regard to the ACT areas of focus including Math, Science, Reading and English. They will be wrapping up ACT Prep with a mock ACT. She also mentioned some upcoming events including the school putting on an Art Gallery on January 18th at the GCC from noon-7pm.
They will be coordinating students and staff to be bussed over for ½ an hour to see the work of the students. This will also be open to the public. Finally, she mentioned long term subbing and band positions. They have had multiple qualified candidates apply for the various long-term subbing positions. They have continued to reach out to the various colleges and music communities, but they are still in search of a second semester band director.
