Greenwood Approves Transition to 8-Player Football for 2020 Season

-The Greenwood School Board accepted several donations at their meeting on Monday.The board accepted a $10,000 donation from the Wuethrich Foundation for the Outdoor Classroom Project at the Elementary School. They also approved a donation of winter gear and health care items from Vita Plus and the many donations from area businesses and individuals used during the Santa Project. Letters of “thanks” will be sent to all donors. The board also reviewed and discussed information shared during the public forum on football held on January 9th. The board allowed public comments on the football program during this discussion.
The board approved the transition to 8-player football for the 2020 and 2021 seasons. The 2019 season will be 11-player football. The board also approved the motion to set no limits for Open Enrollment requests into the District and approved several new courses including German 2, Game IT 2, Introduction to Business, and Electronics and Automation beginning in 2019-2020.
