One of Two People Arrested After High Speed Chase in Wood County Appears in Court

-One of two people arrested after a high speed chase appeared in Wood County Court on Monday.According to the Marshfield Police Department, around 3:30pm on Monday, January 7th, they attempted to pull over a vehicle on the city’s south side. The vehicle sped up and led authorities on a chase through Wood County before it eventually ended in Clark County. Two people, Christopher Gaffney and Josie Lutz, both of Marshfield, were arrested. Officers found 33 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Lutz has been charged with possession of methamphetamine. Probable cause was found during her preliminary hearing so her court proceedings will continue. She’ll be back in court at the beginning of February for arraignment.
