Water Report and More at Granton Village Board Meeting

-The Granton Village Board heard the Waste Water Report at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, monthly reports were completed, they completed fall discharge to O’Neil, the emergency generator was exercised, they cleaned the lift station basket, a new block heater was installed and they met with the DNR regarding the Phosphorus Compliance. Also, some general maintenance included helping Xcel fill a ditch by the Moh property, they filled pot holes, shut off water at Ramberg’s as the place is now vacant and placed rocks in the triangle north of town to prevent trucks from driving across the grass.
The board heard the Clerk’s Report. Property Tax bills were sent out and collection has begun. Utility bills were calculated and sent out. Prep for 2019 is complete. The audit has begun. Statement of taxes and January settlement is complete. Fine tuning on the website is being completed and should be ready to roll next week. Finally, they heard the Treasurer’s Report. The beginning balance in checking was $190,554.84 and the ending balance is $182,577.55. The beginning balance in the money market account was $485,064.64 and the ending balance is $485,873.75. This includes tax payments from December.
