Eau Claire Woman Arrested in Osseo for Possession Appears in Court

-An Eau Claire woman arrested for possession in the City of Osseo appeared in Trempealeau County Court on Tuesday.According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, at 2:30am on December 30th, deputies made contact with a vehicle at the SuperAmerica Gas Station in Osseo, occupied by 38-year-old Kevin Bell and 23-year-old Megan Rasmussen. The contact was made after Rasmussen agreed to sell methamphetamine to an undercover investigator. A K9 unit alerted to drugs in the vehicle and, after a search, 14 grams of methamphetamine was discovered as was packaging material and other paraphernalia.
Bell and Rasmussen were arrested for outstanding warrants, probation violations and other drug charges. During Rasmussen’s initial appearance on Tuesday, she waived a preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her. She’ll be back in court later this month.
