Republicans Request Delay in Redistricting Case

(WRN) -A delay has been requested in a federal trial on Wisconsin redistricting.Attorneys for the Republican-controlled state Assembly have asked a three judge federal panel in Madison to delay the trial, set for April. That's because the U-S Supreme Court said last week it would hear arguments in March in cases out of North Carolina and Maryland.
The outcome of those could impact the Wisconsin case, where opponents have argued that Republicans illegally gerrymandered district maps. It's an updated version of a lawsuit that resulted in previous trials in 2012 and 2016.
