Tony Evers Sworn in as 46th Governor of Wisconsin

(AP) -Tony Evers has been sworn into office as Wisconsin’s 46th governor.Evers took the oath of office Monday from Wisconsin Supreme Court Chief Justice Pat Roggensack. Five former governors, including Scott Walker, and a host of other dignitaries attended the public ceremony in the rotunda of the state Capitol. Four other Democrats elected into statewide constitutional offices were also sworn in.
They are Lt. Gov. Mandela Barnes, Attorney General Josh Kaul, Secretary of State Doug La Follette, and Treasurer Sarah Godlewski. State lawmakers were to be sworn into office Monday afternoon prior to an inaugural ball in Madison.
