-A Neillsville man facing child abuse charges, after an infant was hospitalized with serious injuries, appeared in Clark County Court Monday.Back in January of 2018, a woman brought her baby into the hospital. The baby had bruises on her body and one of her eyes wasn’t working properly. Authorities questioned Alden Martin Jr. about the injuries. He stated that the baby’s head had pitched forward and slammed into his collarbone while he was holding her. He also said she had fallen off a bed. However, doctors said that wouldn't explain the injuries and another child in the home said the baby had been thrown.
During his court appearance on Monday, Martin pleaded guilty to child abuse. He’ll be back in court in March for sentencing.
