December Class III Milk Price Released

Monday, January 7th, 2019 -- 10:16 AM

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The USDA announced that the December Class III milk price was released at $13.78 per hundredweight.

That's down 66-cents from November's price, and $1.66 lower than December 2017. For the entire year of 2018, the Class III price averaged $14.61. That's compared to an average of $16.17 during all of 2017. The Class IV component price was three-cents higher than last month's price at $15.09, and $1.58 higher than last December.

The USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service was scheduled to release its monthly cheese and dairy product production report for November last week. But, due to the federal government shutdown, these figures are not readily available.
