Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Refusing to Release Contract with Chicago Law Firm

(WRN) -Assembly Speaker Robin Vos is refusing to release an 850-thousand dollar contract with a law firm.Republican lawmakers hired the law firm Bartlit Beck to assist them in legal challenges to legislative district boundaries. Vos spokeswoman Kit Beyer refused to release the contract to the Wisconsin State Journal and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, citing attorney client-privelege. She also declined to answer questions about the denial Monday.
Assembly Republicans hired the Chicago-based firm to help defend Republican-drawn legislative districts in a long-running federal lawsuit.
