More Sears and Kmart Closings Announced

As part of Sears Holdings' processes to accelerate its strategic transformation and facilitate its financial restructuring, on Friday, the company informed associates at 80 stores that the company will be closing more Sears and Kmart stores in late March of 2019. Liquidation sales at these stores are expected to begin in two weeks.This is in addition to the previously announced closure of 40 unprofitable stores expected to be completed in February 2019.
Wisconsin will be losing its last full line Sears Store located in the Fox River Mall in Appleton due to this round of closings. Minnesota will be losing its last full line Sears Store located in the Mall of America as well.
Oconomowoc will lose its Kmart Store as well.
Sears Hometown Stores are not affected by the closures.
