Mid-State Technical College Offering Youth for the Quality Care of Animals Training

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Mid-State Technical College is organizing a Youth for the Quality Care of Animals, or YQCA, training next month for 4-H and FFA students that plan to show livestock at their local county fairs.YQCA is a new nationwide multi-specie program developed to strengthen the youth educational experience. It replaces the Meat Animal Quality Assurance program, which has helped youth who exhibit market animals learn about the importance of raising safe and wholesome food products by focusing on the proper care and welfare of animals.
The first 50 student who register will have half of the cost of the training covered by Premier Livestock and Auctions of Withee. For more information or to register, go to: mstc.edu/continuing or call 715-422-5426.
