Administrators' Reports at Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.District Administrators Todd Felhofer reported on some political items. He reminded board members that paperwork for non-candidacy is due December 20th and paperwork to run for school board is due January 2nd. Taxpayers will spend $302 million this school year on vouchers to send students to private schools. That is an increase of $33 million. $40,490 was taken from Greenwood’s general revenue aid to support charter schools. An inspection by the Wisconsin Department of Safety resulted in the district having 5 areas to correct. All corrections have been scheduled. The WIAA’s football conference realignment has potentially changed the timeline for the district’s decision on possible options regarding football.
The Board’s Co-Curricular Activities committee will meet in early January with AD, District Administrator and Football Coach. A community meeting will also be held in early January. A Youth Apprenticeship Kick-off Breakfast was held on November 28th. 18 students are currently in the YA program. Finally, he mentioned the Middle-High School Winter Concert was held on December 10th. He offered Kudos to Ms. Lamont and her students on a great performance.
