Neillsville School Board Discusses Online Course Handbook and More

-The Neillsville School Board discussed the Online Course Handbook and more at their meeting on Monday.

The board approved the update to the Online Course Handbook as presented. They also approved a $20,000.00 donation from the Listeman Foundation for safety projects and approved budget adjustments for the 2018-2019 school year as presented. In employment matters, the board approved the hiring of Diane Courtney for a food service worker position. They also approved a resolution approving the School District of Neillsville Safety Plan. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Scott Schiller reported on attendance, December 13th was the Elementary Christmas Concert and December 14th was the 4K Christmas Concert. He also mentioned the Building the Heart of Healthy Schools Conference, the elementary data meetings, the District Spelling Bee and Warrior of the Week.

High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, scheduling for the 2019-2020 school year, the middle and high school band concert and choir concert, a blood drive on December 21st and 7-12 Leadership Team updates. Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on a thank you card, years of service recognition, the annual Medford Legislative Meeting scheduled for March 4th of 2019, plans for renovating the entry vestibules and a School Administrators Alliance article. He also reported on the 2018-19 funding distribution, three Focus articles, three articles on lame duck legislation and an article about the educational system in Finland.
