Marshfield Shooting Suspect Apprehended

(Marshfield News Herald) -The Marshfield Police Department has apprehended the suspect in a shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.William J. Crowley IV, 37, of Marshfield, was taken into custody in connection with the shooting that occurred in the 600 block of South Cherry Avenue around 1 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release. Police say Crowley is a previously convicted felon. Police say a 31-year-old man was shot in the abdomen. Both men fled the South Cherry Avenue residence before officers arrived.
The wounded man was later found at a nightclub and taken to Marshfield Medical Center with injuries not considered life-threatening, according to the release. Police say he has since been released from the hospital.
