Field Trips and More at Granton School Board Meeting

-The Granton School Board approved a field trip at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the Fieldtrip to the Dorian Vocal Music Festival. They also approved creating the safety drill completed last week, they approved the invoices for work completed as part of the pool and locker room remodel and they approved additional baby changing tables for the lobby restrooms. The board also approved the new Fieldhouse lobby exit device from Quality Door and Hardware. They approved new room signs from SmartSign and they approved additional lockset cores and closures from TCH. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Principal Amanda Kraus reported informed the board that the Crisis Team completed the mandatory mental health training last week. She also stated the pool hours will continue in the morning and after school and she would like to encourage the community to come use the newly refurbished pool.
Finally, she stated the band instructor position was reposted and sent to the local universities to fill their vacant position for second semester. District Superintendent Scott Woodington reported the Baird Forecast Mosel workshop held the last week on November was excellent. The Department of Public Instruction just posted the 2019-2020 Revenue limit worksheets so districts can start working on next year’s projected budget. He also stated the Legislative meeting is scheduled for March 4th at Medford High School.
