Colby Man Charged with Sexual Assault of Yong Girls has Bond Modification

Tuesday, December 11th, 2018 -- 11:07 AM

-A Colby man, and volunteer firefighter, accused of sexually assaulting two young girls appeared in Marathon County Court on Monday.

According to prosecutors, Nicholas Koebach would enter the girls’ room at night, put blankets over their head, put his hand over their mouths and tell them to be quiet while he assaulted them as they struggled to get away from him. The assaults occurred over months and year for both girls and a combined 35 times against them. Koebach has been charged with two counts of repeated sexual assault of the same child, two counts of incest with a child by stepparent, two counts of false imprisonment and one count of strangulation and suffocation. During a motion hearing on Monday, a judge granted a bond modification, changing from a $100,000 cash bond to a $100,000 signature bond with the first $10,000 cash.

Some conditions include that Koebach must live with his mother in Oconto Falls and he cannot leave Oconto County unless he’s going to his lawyer’s office in Brown County or to court in Marathon County. He cannot have any drugs or alcohol, there can be no alcohol in his home, he must be home by 7pm every night and can’t leave until 7am every morning, he can have no contact with underage/minor females under the age of 18, no contact with the victims, but he can have contact with their mother through a 3rd party for financial purposes only. He’ll be back in court in January.
