Man Arrested for Possession Charges Sentenced in Clark County Court

-One person arrested after the execution of a search warrant in the City of Thorp was sentenced in Clark County Court on Thursday.According to the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, the search warrant was conducted on March 13th at 204 N. Thorp St. Found inside the residence were Methamphetamine, Marijuana, and various types of paraphernalia. Two people were arrested in the incident including John Knar and Karin Scott. Knar is charged with several possession charges, bail jumping and more. Knar was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession with intent-amphetamine, bail jumping and manufacture/deliver THC. Six other charges were dismissed and read in.
He was sentenced to 3 years’ probation with a condition of 30 days jail time. He was also given and imposed and stayed sentenced of 3 years’ in prison and 3 years’ extended supervision, which means if he fails at any of the conditions of his probation, he’ll be given that sentence. Scott was sentenced to 1 year probation back in July.
