Governor Evers Appoints New Jackson County District Attorney

Governor Tony Evers has appointed a new Jackson County District Attorney.

Emily Hynek, who’s been the Assistant District Attorney in Jackson County since 2018, will take over for Daniel Diehn who resigned from the DA position.  Hynek will finish out the rest of his term, which ends in January of 2025.

In a release, Hynek says she is honored to take the position and looks forward to continuing her work in Jackson Co.
