Jackson County Man Sentenced for Threatening to Kill an Officer

-A Jackson County man arrested after threatening to kill an officer was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Monday.According to officers, back in July they responded to an area in the vicinity of North Sixth Street and Tyler Street in Black River Falls after they received reports of an intoxicated man stumbling into yards. Officers discovered it was Benjamin Paprocki who was active on a probation and felony bond. When officers approached Paprocki he ran. When they found him, officers tried to take him into custody, but police say he threw his backpack and jacket at the officer and threatened to kill him. The officers eventually used a taser to subdue him.
Back in September, Paprocki was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, attempting to disarm a peace officer and bail jumping. Three other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 3 years in prison and 2 years of extended supervision.
