Withee Man Sentenced for Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime

-A Withee man charged with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime was sentenced in Marathon County Court on Monday.

According to court records, back in February, Jonathan Hall of Withee, showed up at a Wausau home believing he was going to have sex with a 15-year-old girl. However, the man was talking to an undercover officer and he was arrested when he arrived. Hall was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, child enticement-sexual contact and three counts of neglecting a child.

He was sentenced to one year probation with conditions that he maintain fulltime employment or schooling at least 30 per week or perform 9 hours of community service per week. He must also be a part of a sex offender group and he can have no contact with anyone under 18. If he completes his probation, the child enticement charge will be dismissed.
