Withee Man Sentenced for Using a Computer to Facilitate a Child Sex Crime

-A Withee man charged with using a computer to facilitate a child sex crime was sentenced in Marathon County Court on Monday.According to court records, back in February, two men, Andrew Eiler of Appleton and Jonathan Hall of Withee, showed up at a Wausau home believing they were going to have sex with a 15-year-old girl. However, the men were talking to an undercover officer and they were arrested when they arrived. Hall was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, child enticement-sexual contact and three counts of neglecting a child.
He was sentenced to one year probation with conditions that he maintain fulltime employment or schooling at least 30 per week or perform 9 hours of community service per week. He must also be a part of a sex offender group and he can have no contact with anyone under 18. If he completes his probation, the child enticement charge will be dismissed.
