Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports

The Neillsville City Council heard several committee reports from the various committee meetings held in Neillsville over the past couple weeks.The Council heard the Heritage Days Committee Reports from October 24th and November 7th. They discussed and heard updates on food vendors, Miss Neillsville, new events, setup, safety lights, a scavenger hunt, Grand Marshalls and a resident was welcomed back onto the committee. They also heard updates/discussed beer vendors, bands, a petting zoo, sponsorships, volleyball and a DJ. The Council heard an update from the Historic Preservation Commission’s meeting on October 25th. They approved printing their 2019 calendars and selling them for $10 each or $8 each if 25 or more are purchased.
Finally, they heard the Beautification Committee report from their November 8th meeting. The Beautification Committee approved purchasing a watering system from Schalow’s Nursery for $436.25 to help water the plants in the Rotary Circle. They also approved reimbursing a member for some ribbon that was used in decorations.
