Greenwood School Board Hears Administrators’ Reports

The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting last week.Elementary Principal Joe Green reported on the recently completed vision screening of all elementary school students. This was made possible through a partnership with the Greenwood Lions Club. He also highlighted the Technology Education afternoon which saw the 6th grade students spend the afternoon exploring and learning in the high school Tech Ed department. Mr. Green also re-capped the October 22nd visit from author Aisha Saeed. Athletic Director/Dean of Students Report Jenny Mayenschein provided review of the Fall Sports seasons. The Fall Sports Awards Night was November 1st. A preview of the Winter Sports was given and the participation numbers in all sports are solid.
She also stated that 1-Act play cast and crew will be performing at the State Competition on Friday November 16th. An all-school performance was held on November 8th. The board also provided some Committee Reports. They head a report on CESA 10 and the state the Employee Relations Committee also met recently.
