Community Thanksgiving Dinner This Thursday
Monday, November 19th, 2018 -- 10:21 AM
Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville is continuing a wonderful tradition again this year.Calvary is hosting the Community Thanksgiving Dinner once again. Peggy Erickson said that they are expecting to serve around 330 meals and they will serve the usual Thanksgiving spread. Every year, many people call in to have their meal delivered which Calvary will gladly do and takeout meals are also available for pick up. However, there is a slight change this year; they will only deliver the meals from 11am-12:30pm. Peggy also said they need volunteers to help with the event. They need volunteers for the work day this Wednesday, November 21st and they need volunteers for the meal on Thanksgiving, this Thursday, November 22nd.
She said whatever time people can donate, they will take. They’re also looking for donations for a long list of items they need for the event. If you'd like to learn more, would like to sign up for a time to work or have items you’d like to donate, you can call the church at 715-743-2225 and leave a message.
