Clark County Board of Supervisors Update
Friday, November 16th, 2018 -- 9:24 AM
The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved the Community Services and Social Services contract at their meeting on Tuesday.State Statute requires counties to enter into a contract with the State Department of Health Services and the Department of Children and Family Services for Income Maintenance Program Administration, so this resolution approves that for another year. The board also approved a resolution that approved the county’s application for the WIC Grant for 2019. With this grant, the county will receive $162,855, which will pay for all the costs associated with the WIC Program. The board also approved the 2019 Forestry and Parks Annual Work Plan. This plan is also needed to comply with state statute. The board also approved a resolution, which, again, under state statute, provides money to various towns for county bridge aid and culvert construction.
The board also approved a resolution authorizing the payment of Wisconsin Counties Association Dues. The cost to Clark County for 2019 came to $6,436. The board also approved a resolution authorizing the Committed Fund Balances for Special Revenue Accounts. When certain lines of the budget are labeled as committed, they can only be used for those purposes. Some examples in Clark County of Committed Fund Balances include Elderly Services, Aging and Disability Resources, Family Trust Fund, Social Services and more.
