Many Items Discussed at End of Year Meeting for Clark County Tourism Committee

-The Clark County Tourism Committee met on Wednesday afternoon for their last meeting of the year.The group discussed a lot of information including the sales tax impact in the county, unemployment numbers and numbers regarding hunting’s impact on Wisconsin. They also discussed a new county wide ATV/UTV ordinance, a program from the DNR regarding communities becoming “tree cities” and marketing in American Road magazine. The group also heard an update on the new visitor’s guide the CCEDC will begin working on next month and about having a possible speaker regarding Google Streetview at their meeting in January. They also discussed the recently completed Harvest Moon Tour. Those in attendance felt there was descent response, but also feel that event needs to be looked at further and possible changed.
They also discussed Small Business Saturday, continuing to work with The Highground, work on the Spring Art Tour already starting, the next Bloomin’ Greenhouse brochure underway, and a bid in regarding Clark County hosing Farm Technology Days possibly in 2021, 22 or 23. Finally, it was mentioned that the yellow ribbons from The Highground can now come down and residents are welcome to do with them as they please.
