Dryer Fire at Grassland Dairy Products in Greenwood

-Ten local fire departments responded to a fire at Grassland Dairy Products in Greenwood Tuesday evening.According to the Greenwood Fire Chief, Delmond Horn, they received a report of a dryer fire at Grassland around 5:38pm. When they arrived, employees of Grassland had already been evacuated. They used over 12,000 gallons of water to extinguish the flames. The department was scene for over 4 hours.
There were no injuries were reported and there was damage to equipment and property at Grassland. The other fire departments that responded to the fire include Owen-Withee, Thorp, Neillsville, Loyal, Chili-Fremont, Granton, Stanley, Spencer, and Central Fire District.
