Most Clark County School Districts Score Well on School Report Cards

-An increasing percentage of public and private schools and public school districts met expectations on report cards issued for the 2017-18 school year compared to the prior year.Overall, 83.7 percent of rated schools meet or exceed expectations as did 96.4 percent of the state’s 422 public school districts. This is the third year that report cards used legislatively mandated calculations, and the third year that private schools in the Milwaukee, Racine, and statewide parental choice programs received report cards. For 2017-18, 2,114 public schools and 281 private choice schools received report card ratings. Of choice schools, 94 exercised the option to receive both a choice student and an all student report card.
For Clark County’s Schools:
The Neillsville School District received a score of 73.8, falling into the exceeds expectations category. They received a score, out of 100, of 60.2 for student achievement, 67.9 for district growth, 79.1 for closing the gaps and 86.9 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. For Neillsville Elementary, the district scored a 76.3 falling into the exceeds expectations category. They received a score of 65.6 for student achievement, 75.6 for school growth, 73.9 for closing gaps and 87.9 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. And for the Neillsville Middle/High School, they received a score of 70.1 falling into the meets expectations category. They received a score of 53.6 for student achievement, 57.5 for school growth, 83.8 for closing gaps and 85.6 for on-track and postsecondary readiness.
The Granton School District received a score of 70.2 falling into the meets expectations category. They received a score of 55.4 for student achievement, 66 for district growth, 66.3 for closing gaps and 85.3 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. Granton Elementary received a score of 66.8 falling into the meets expectations category. They received a score of 59.4 for student achievement, 59.4 for school growth, 61.2 for closing gaps and 87.1 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. Granton High School received a score of 73.5 falling into the exceeds expectations category. They received a score of 51.8 for student achievement, 71.7 for school growth, 69.2 for closing gaps and 85.4 for on-track and postsecondary readiness.
The Spencer School District received a score of 73.8 falling into the exceeds expectations category. They received a score of 70.8 for student achievement, 55.6 for district growth, 78.5 for closing gaps and 91.8 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. The Spencer Elementary School received a score of 71.4 falling into the meets expectations category. They received a score of 75.7 for student achievement, 44.2 for school growth, 76.3 for closing gaps and 93.9 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. The Spencer Jr./High School received a score of 73.3 falling into the exceeds expectations category. They received a score of 67.4 for student achievement, 63.1 for school growth, 73.2 for closing gaps and 89.7 for on-track and postsecondary readiness.
The Loyal School District received a score of 70.9 falling into the meets expectations category. They receive a score of 60.9 for student achievement, 62.2 for district growth, 71.8 for closing gaps and 88.1 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. The Loyal Elementary School received a score of 77.6 falling into the exceeds expectations category. They received a score of 66.3 for student achievement, 71.8 for school growth, 79.2 for closing gaps and 90.3 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. The Loyal Jr. High received a score of 62.3 falling into the meets few expectations category. They received a score of 53.7 for student achievement, 49.9 for school growth, 61.3 for closing gaps and 85.5 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. The Loyal High School received a score of 63.1 falling into the meets expectations category. They received a score of 54.8 for student achievement, there was no score for school growth and closing gaps, and 96.1 for on-track and postsecondary readiness.

Greenwood Elementary received a score of 85.1 falling into the significantly exceeds expectations. They received a score of 67 for student achievement, 96.4 for school growth, 71.7 for closing gaps and 88.2 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. They received a score of 62.8 for student achievement, 51.8 for district growth, 57.3 for closing gaps and 88.8 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. The Thorp Elementary School received a score of 66.1 falling into the meets expectations category. They received a score of 66 for student achievement, 51.8 for school growth, 62.6 for closing gaps and 88.7 for on-track and postsecondary readiness. The Thorp High School receives a score of 56.5 falling into the meets few expectations category. They received a score of 46.4 for student achievement, no score for school growth and closing gaps and 96.8 for on-track and postsecondary readiness.
