Marshfield CNA Enters Plea for Having Sex with a Patient

-A Marshfield woman being charged for having sex with a patient at the Norwood Health Center appeared in Wood County Court on Monday.According to court records, 23-year-old Courtney Brockman, a nurse’s aide at the Health Center, was caught having sex with a patient on March 25th by a sheriff’s deputy who needed to use the bathroom. The patient initially denied that anything occurred, but, eventually, he showed investigators his phone and they saw numerous communications indicating a sexual relationship with Brockman. Brockman said she knew the relationship was wrong, but she had been having personal problems and the patient became a sounding board for her and their relationship evolved from there.
Brockman was found guilty of 2nd degree sexual assault. Another charged of resisting or obstructing an officer was dismissed. She’s free on a $5,000 signature bond and she’ll be back in court at the end of January for sentencing.
