Neillsville School Board Approves 2018-19 Tax Levy

-The Neillsville School Board approved the tax levy at their meeting on Monday.The board approved a Fund 10 tax levy of $3,647,124 and a Fund 80 tax levy of $75,000 for a total of $3,722,124 for the 2018-19 school year. The board also approved the resignation of Dana Nickel from her teaching assistant position and approved the Memorandum of Understanding for Sharilyn Ziegler. The board also approved the expulsion of a student for the remainder of this school year for an incident that occurred off school grounds.
Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on the 2019 Education Reform Agenda, a psychiatrist shortage in rural counties, the rising number of school referenda, school referendums set for November 6th, standardized tests, a speech by Senator Ben Sasse and a draft of the high school and elementary vestibule modifications.
