Recent Silver Alert Ends in Tragedy

A silver alert issued earlier this week ended in tragedy after the subject of the alert was found dead.

The alert was issued on Monday looking for 86-year-old Barbara Wilson of Marshfield and her son, 63-year-old Dale Wilson.  Their vehicle was found unoccupied in Price County Sunday night.

Barbara’s body was found after a search by the Price County Sheriff’s Department and Sawyer County Search and Rescue Team. Barbara’s autopsy is pending, but it’s believed she died of exposure.  Her son was found alive and taken to an area hospital for treatment.
