Cost-sharing Opportunities to Help Wisconsin Farms
Saturday, October 13th, 2018 -- 6:55 AM
(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -One of the region's largest utility companies is offering cost-sharing opportunities to help Wisconsin farms upgrade their buildings' electric systems. We Energies says its rewiring programs provide technical and financial resources in order to get dairy and livestock operations properly wired and code-compliant. The utility says such upgrades help farms improve reliability, efficiency and safety for families, employees and animals on the farm. Participants may be eligible to get between $1,000 to $2,000 to start a rewiring project; and then up to 50-percent reimbursement after the project is completed.
Farms may also qualify for reimbursement to have their farms inspected by an approved contractor. For more information, contact your local We Energies agriculture services representative.
