Clean Sweep Happening in Neillsville Until 3pm Today

-The City of Neillsville is holding a Clean Sweep event today from 7:30am-3pm.This is a great opportunity for people to remove obsolete, unwanted or broken electronics from their home, save the environment and support the Opportunity Development Centers. Resident of Neillsville can bring their unwanted gadgets to the city garage on Oak Street and the city will take care of the rest. They will take computer towers, laptops, tables, and other miscellaneous items for free, but there is a $7 charge if you request the hard drive be destroyed. TVs, tube or LCD, and monitors under 27 inches are $25, TVs, tube or LCD, and monitors between 27-49 inches are $40. Wood console TVs, projection screen TVs and TVs over 49 inches are $55. Non-TV LCD computer monitors are $20.
Full size copiers and printers are $65 and all other electronics like VCR/DVD/Blu-Ray players, phones, printers, scanners, stereos, fax machines, cords/cables are free. It’s cash only, no checks or credit/debit cards. It’s electronics only as well, no refrigerators, microwaves, freezers or dehumidifiers.
