-A Marshfield bus driver was sentenced in Wood County Court on Tuesday after accusations he hosted an underage drinking party and made sexual advances on a 17-year-old girl.According to court records, during a New Year’s Eve party at the end of 2017, Herbert Andres, a one-time bus driver with the Marshfield School District, allegedly hosted a party with underage students at his home and provided them with alcohol. One teen accused Andres of being “touchy” and inappropriately grabbing her and trying to kiss her. Andres told investigators that he did host a party, but didn’t provide alcohol nor did he grab the girl. The information came to light after another bus driver approached the administration at Marshfield and said Andres was “doing inappropriate things with students.”
After a jury trial on Tuesday, the two parties reached an agreement and Andres plead no contest to, and was found guilty of, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disorderly conduct. He was sentenced to two years’ probation with a condition of 30 days jail time.
