Medford Man Killed in Head on Crash

-A Medford man was killed in a head on crash Monday afternoon.According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, around 12:20pm on County Highway M at Knuth Road near Medford, a vehicle driven by 83-year-old Edwin Emstrom was traveling west on Highway M when he deviated left of center and struck another vehicle, driven by 37-year-old Crystal Schaeffer of Gilman, head on.
Both were transported to Aspirus Hospital in Medford. Emstrom was pronounced dead at the hospital and Schaeffer was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
