(WDLB) -Things are looking up for the 76 dogs seized from two Wood County homes late last month.Officials at the South Wood County Humane Society in Wisconsin Rapids said Thursday the dogs, which were living in terrible conditions in Babcock, have returned to good health and will be up for adoption starting next week. When the dogs were rescued, most were covered in fleas, intestinal parasites and one dog tested positive for the Parvo virus.
Beth Peabody, the director for animal care at the humane society, says all 76 dogs have been cleared by a veterinarian and will be up for adoption on Monday. And she expects most of the dogs to be adopted by the end of next week.
