Clark County's Walk-In Application Dates for Heating Assistance

-The Clark County Department of Social Services is taking walk-in applications for the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program for the 2018-2019 heating season.Approximately 1,265 households were assisted last heating season. Appointments will be managed on a first come, first served basis. Please do not call for an appointment. Walk-in dates for this week are Tuesday, October 2nd and Thursday, October 4th from 8:30am-3:30pm at the Clark County Courthouse in Neillsville. They’ll also be at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center on Friday, October 5th from 9am-3:30pm. You will need to provide documentation for all household gross income for the last 3 months, driver’s license (if have not applied before), and a heating and electric bill.
Income for people who are self-employed, farmers, or seasonal workers is based on federal income tax forms for the previous year, 2017. For Clark County residents who are age 60 or older, the Clark County Aging Department will assist with application completion starting October 1st.
