Clark County Community Foundation Assisting with Fairgrounds Revitalization Project Fundraising

Tuesday, September 25th, 2018 -- 10:09 AM

-The Clark County Fairgrounds, through the Clark County Forestry & Parks Department, has undertaken a new initiative, the Clark County Fairgrounds Revitalization Project, to address several issues and needs that have been identified in recent years.

The Project calls for the construction or relocation of buildings, addressing capacity and accessibility issues, and creating more family-friendly green space. The two largest components of the Project include the construction of a new Multi-purpose Livestock Building, and new Multi-purpose Event Center at a projected cost of approximately $750,000 and $900,000 respectively. A Fundraising Committee has been established to raise the funds needed to complete the construction of the two new buildings. All other Fairground Project improvements are being paid for by the Forestry and Parks Department through their annual budget process. Clark County is positioning itself to showcase the many agricultural, recreational, and business opportunities it has to offer. At its completion, the Project will provide viable and functional facilities that can be used year-round for a wide variety of purposes. These include conferences, livestock events, auctions, trade shows, as well as providing meeting space for community needs.

Anticipating the needs of the County’s current and future generations, as well as the overall economic impact this Project could have on its communities and businesses, are a driving force for this Project. The Clark County Community Foundation has been designated by Clark County to receive all donations (cash or in-kind) for this Project. Anyone interested in discussing a donation involving Naming Rights, or In-Kind Donations should contact Rick Dailey, Administrator, Clark County Forestry & Parks Department at: 517 Court St., Room 103, Neillsville WI 54456, phone 715-743-5142, or email [email protected].
