BMO Harris Bank Eliminating 170 Mortgage Lending Positions, May Include Some Marshfield Positions

(WDLB) -Chicago-based BMO Harris Bank is eliminating 170 mortgage lending positions as it moves to an online mortgage application process.The change may remove staff positions at BMO’s Marshfield locations. BMO spokesperson Patrick O’Herlihy said in a written statement “Our move to a centralized model for providing mortgages will not affect the service we provide our customers. The number of employees affected by this change is a very small percentage of our overall U.S. banking team, and for those that are affected, we are working with them to try to find other roles in the bank".
O’Herlihy would not comment on the Marshfield lending positions.
