Neillsville School Board Meets New Staff

-The Neillsville School Board was introduced to new staff members to begin their meeting on Monday.The board also approved a couple donations including some shelving from Dewey and Kory Poeschel and paper bags for book covers from Hansen’s IGA. The board also approved some out of state field trips for the Neillsville FFA including to Indianapolis, October 23rd-27th, St. Paul in January 2019 and Washington D.C. in July. The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. Elementary Principal Scott Schiller reported on attendance, Warrior of the Week program, PBIS t-shirts, a kindergarten field trip to Cain’s Orchard on September 20th picture day on September 27th and parent teacher conferences October 18th-19th.
High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, open campus, the grab ‘n go lunch program, student tutors and a building and grounds update. Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on the WASB Region 5 meeting, an AEF newsletter, an article from the School Administrators Alliance, an article regarding French schools and cell phones, an article on Wisconsin rural schools, an article on secret cash to aid politicians and two Focus articles.
