Granton Village Board Hears Treasurer's Report

-The Granton Village Board heard the Treasurer’s Report at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the beginning balance in checking was $100,641.27 and ending balance is $109,253.90. The beginning balance in the money market account was $449,042.55 and ending balance is $455,635.37. This includes money earmarked for scoreboard donations. The beginning balance in the library account was $32,332.85 and ending balance is $31,127.88. The board reviewed the expense and deposit report.
Finally, during the open forum, a resident said he is interested in working for the village on an on-call basis to repair village equipment when needed. The clerk advised he would need to fill out a W-4. He is currently collecting retirement funds and needs to look into effects on his retirement wages. The item was tabled until the next meeting.
