Colby Man Appears in Court for Sexual Assault of Young Girls

-A Colby man, and volunteer firefighter, has been accused of sexually assaulting two young girls.According to prosecutors, 35-year-old Nicholas Koebach would enter the girls’ room at night, put blankets over their head, put his hand over their mouths and tell them to be quiet while he assaulted them as they struggled to get away from him. The assaults occurred over months and year for both girls and a combined 35 times against them.
Koebach hasn’t been officially charged yet, but is expected to be on Friday. He was jailed on a $100,000 cash bond. The fire chief said Koebach is currently on leave.
