Granton Village Board Hears Water Report

-The Granton Village Board heard the Water Report at their meeting on Wednesday of last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, the Chlorine and Bac T samples were taken and the mandatory state water testing is complete. Park updates include staining the gazebo, installing the scoreboard, putting up banners and prep for Fall Fest. The cemetery building was also painted. The board also heard the Waste Water Report. They worked with the DNR’s CMOM, or maintenance compliance program, and completed the inspection. A new thermometer had to be purchased to remain in compliance.
The lift station catch basket was cleaned, and they attended the expo in Plover. They prepared roads for chip sealing which was completed by Scott’s Construction. Stump grinding was completed. Summer can collection was brought to the recycle station and the village received $60 and the village will no longer collect the cans and just place them into recycling.
