Neillsville City Council Hears Officer's Report

The Neillsville City Council heard the Officer’s Report at their meeting on Tuesday.

Neillsville Police Chief Scott Klueckmann reported that, for the month of August, the department had 156 complaints, 61 service calls, 66 traffic citations, 63, traffic warnings, 8 crash investigations, 39 ordinance citations, 16 adult arrests, 3 cases referred to the district attorney, 6 juvenile cases and 33 parking citations. With the exception of traffic warnings, all of the department’s numbers were up for August of 2018 compared to August of 2017. Some other items of note for the month of August, include officers responding to storm damage in the city. The chief also attended the investiture of the new Clark County Judge and attended some training and conferences in Green Bay.

He also stated that two officers had to use a Taser to subdue a 28-year-old male, the department is investigating a home invasion and robbery and officers had to do a welfare check on a woman that fired a handgun in her front yard three times.

Finally, officers assisted with a high speed chase near Greenwood and a woman was arrested for OWI after rolling her vehicle in the City of Neillsville.
