Owen City Council Hears CDC's Report

-The Owen City Council heard the Community Development Authority’s Report at their meeting last week.Tim Swiggum reported that another successful Car Show held with The Highground’s ‘ Ride to Remember’ riders putting in an appearance. Also, there were forty-nine vintage cars along with vendors, food and bouncy houses at Fremont Park. He also mentioned a Heartland and DNR meeting in Black River Falls and the Department of Health in town in response to a citizen complaint.
A Planning Grant has been awarded to assist in the development of the new comprehensive plan for the city. Finally, he mentioned the America in Bloom tree planting will be done in early October with the celebration to be held at Owen’s Autumnfest on October 20th.
