Employment Matters at Neillsville School Board Meeting

-The Neillsville School Board discussed employment matters at their meeting on Monday.The board approved the resignation of Stephanie Opelt from her teaching assistant position, Tammy Matson from her middle school volleyball coaching position and Samantha Pfeiffer from her C Team volleyball coaching position. The board approved the hiring of Taylor Olson for the middle school volleyball coaching position and Kendra Pfeiffer for the second C-team volleyball coaching position. The board also approved a Memorandum of Understanding with McKenzie Trunkel. They also approved the contract for Martha Gerlach for the elementary art teaching position and the two year contract for Kory Poeschel as the Director of Curriculum and Instruction/Instructional Facilitator.
The board also heard the Administrators’ Reports. District Administrator John Gaier reported on the design of two new vestibules using safety grant funds, the WASB Region 5 meeting, the acquisition of Memorial Medical Center by the Marshfield Clinic Health System, an article regarding the Eau Claire School District and an article about urban and rural school districts. He also reported on a report by the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty, three Focus articles, the Chamber Business After 5, Teacher In-service Days August 23rd ??" 29th, school safety grant recipients, an article on Wisconsin equalized property values, an article on a potential Kimberly-Clark bailout and an update on district projects.
