-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a resolution that would deed a property to the City of Neillsville at their meeting last week.Clark County owns Lot 379 in the City of Neillsville. However, the county’s Public Property Committee believed it would be in the county’s best interest to deed that property to the City of Neillsville. The city has stuck a lot of money into the property and this may help them recoup some of that cost. The board also approved a resolution to set the value on nine different tax deeded properties. The lowest amount set was $1 with the highest $82,500. The county board also approved a resolution giving them a higher meal allowance reimbursement. Since the last increase in 2000, the county board was receiving $4 for breakfast, $6 for lunch and $10 for an evening meal. With this increase, the board will now receive $7 for breakfast, $12 for lunch and $20 for an evening meal. The resolution was approved with 21 voting yes and 8 voting no.
Along with that, the board also approved an increase in county mileage reimbursement for themselves and all of Clark County’s employees. Since 2008, the board and county employees have received $.42 per mile. The increase would be $.7 to $.49 per mile. First, the board tried to approved an amendment that would have kept them at $.42 and increase the county employees to $.49. That amendment failed with 17 voting no and 12 voting yes. The resolution, and increase, was then approved with 17 voting yes and 12 voting no.
